Review of Lonesome Jim (2005) by Pablo Martin P — 18 Jul 2005
A more interesting version of "Garden State", filmed with taste in digital by Steve Buscemi. But is not enough. Or maybe it is enough of failed twenty-somethings coming back to Littletown to re-discover their dysfunctional family and the most beautiful girl miles around awaiting for them.
This film is a little bit more humane than "Garden State", but the characters are so sordid as in any "Sundance-like" title (for those reading at a later stage of the 21th century: Sundance was a film festival where young filmmakers looked for a contract with a big movie corporation using little films crafted in almost the same way, about young people with existencial problems).
