Review of Lonesome Jim (2005) by Chris W — 30 Jan 2009
After seeing Casey Affleck shine in 'Assassination of Jesse James' I decided to give him a try in another movie. Definitely glad I did. While he isn't as great here, he still gives a solid performance in a great movie.
Even though I spent the first half of the film completely in a depression caused by the characters I was seeing, my spirits were quickly lifted as things started to change in Jim's life. There's really nothing much more to say about this film.
The characters are easy to attach to, and while the film has its flaws, they really don't matter because of this.
