Review of Lonesome Jim (2005) by Katka K — 20 Oct 2008
I wasn't even aware that Steve Buscemi had directed anything, until one day, when I happened upon this film. And I am very happy that I did. Tis a great little flick, about a 27-yr-old man that finds himself having to move back home with his dysfunctional family, in a small town in Indiana.
The dry humor is class, absolutely love it. And Affleck's performance, well, it's perfect. Quite scary actually, how well I can relate to the character of Jim. Was almost as if they had installed cameras and had been following me around.
Maybe that is why I like this one so much. It's nice to know that I am not the only person that has been forced to relive the insanity that was my childhood.
