Review of Lolita (1962) by Frans F — 15 Jul 2008
"How did they ever make a movie out of Lolita?" This was pasted all over the adds for this movie. I'll tell you how, by tiptoeing around everything as closely as possible to the controversy without saying or showing anything.
In other words the movie kind of castrates the book, but then again the protagonist ought to have been castrated himself for hooking up with a 12-year-old. That being said, though, the movie is fantastic in every way.
