Review of Lolita (1962) by Sergio Andres P — 10 Oct 2016
This is where Kubrick really started to hit his stride in my opinion. The acting in this really holds up which surprised me, and the cinematography is next level of course. Overall, I'd say the story plays it a bit safe given the subject matter, but I can't be too mad given how taboo this is.
It's really good, but it's still only a hint at what Kubrick is capable of.
