Review of Lolita (1962) by Augustine H — 14 Sep 2014
A superb adaptation of Nabokov's novel of the same name, this brings out all that is quite subversively funny in the novel. Performances are first rate especially Peter Sellers. Kubrick's direction is sublime the way it holds the shots to bring you that intimacy of the two lovers and the ultimate doom.
Brilliant.
