Review of Logan's Run (1976) by Eric H — 10 May 2015
Good cheesy 70's fun. This came out in '76 and in some respects it's one of the last sci-fi films from a different era. After all, sci-fi movies are now categorized as before and after Star Wars.
Logan's Run has its fun parts and the FX for the time were exceptional. Especially, the laser room sequence which was later borrowed for James Bond's Die Another Day. Even the surreal sequence involving floating characters being selected is reminiscent of the later Revenge of the Sith.
In the end, it's a solid story with a brilliant score. Without a doubt, for fans of sci-fi, this is a worthy trip down memory lane.
