Review of Limelight (1952) by Brad S — 19 Jun 2015
My first time watching this film, and I absolutely loved it. The film was more powerful than I expected, and was a departure from the Chaplin's usual comedies. "Limelight" is also a drama, and a moving story.
Chaplin is great in this, and controlled all aspects, he was: director, producer, writer, star, and composer. Chaplin actually won an Oscar for the score, 20 years after the original release of the film.
A real highlight of the film was seeing Chaplin and Buster Keaton share the screen for a brief comedy bit, such a great moment. This film is highly recommended!
