Review of Lifeboat (1944) by Rob S — 09 Mar 2011
An enjoyable film about what happens when everyday life breaks down and men (and women) are reduced to their most basic needs. It's also a propaganda film, so there's parts that seem ridiculous and over-the-top.
But, there's a lot here that works. And two particularly brutal, out-of-nowhere scenes back to back that I don't think I'll ever forget.
