Review of Lifeboat (1944) by Alden S — 25 May 2017
Hitchcock film from 1944 in his typical manners. A ship gets torpedoed and some of it's passangers and crew manage to climb into a lifeboat. They are a mixture of rich and poor, men and woman and the combination is deadly. They pick up a new fella, and it turns out that he's German and actually sunk the ship they were on.
The setting is amazing. Experimental and minimalistic, but the script and twist are smart and unpredictable. It got a pretty clastrophobic look even if it's sat on the wide ocean.
I liked it and it's making me want to check out other lesser known Hitchcock flicks.
8 out of 10 bracelets.
