Review of Life of Pi (2012) by Jared L — 22 May 2015
I saw this movie with my father back in 2012 when it was just out in theaters. I knew very little of what the movie was about and it was basically a last ditch option over another movie I didnt see as enjoyable.
I was just hoping for any movie that was not completely uninteresting. I sure was in for a good surprise. Not only did I like the movie, but I was completely fascinated by Ang Lee's creation. It was visualy perfect in every sense of the way.
And as Ebert stated, most people read the book imaging this movie was nearly unfilmable. But not only did Lee succeed, he made one of the greatest examples of 3D use in nearly any film ive seen since its inception.
