Review of Life Is Beautiful (1997) by Vero S — 22 Jan 2011
To be able to turn a chapter in history as bleak as the Holocaust into a heart-warming movie proves that life, despite all the sufferings that come with it, truly is beautiful. An outstanding proof that just as the human mind is capable of carrying out the most terrible of processes, it can just as easily turn these awful deeds into the most creative of games and, with that, the best of movies.
The last scene is a keeper.
