This is one of the most beautiful movies I've had the pleasure of watching. If there was any was to make the tragedy of the holocaust less horrific, I think Benigni's light hearted attempts at protecting his son's innocence to the bitter end come pretty close.
I will forever hold this movie close to my heart.
