Review of Leaves of Grass (2009) by Tommy M — 03 Jan 2011
Edward Norton's fantastic performance as two completely different identical twins (one a college classics professor and the other a pot-growing career criminal) was the reason I picked this film which was often funny but veered off into dark territory unexpectedly and kind of threw me off.
It has a great supporting cast filled with bizarre characters from backwoods Oklahoma, but they are all underused because this is Norton's film and I'm not sure director Tim Blake Nelson knew whether he wanted to create a story a la the Coen Brothers or not, but he didn't succeed.
If you're an Edward Norton fan, don't miss it!
