Review of Leaves of Grass (2009) by Tom H — 05 Jun 2012
While the title certainly invokes Walt Whitman, I haven't read enough of his writing to determine how much it influenced the movie. A good story with some interesting and unexpected twists, an excellent cast and good direction make this very entertaining without losing depth.
Erudite philosophical discussion delivered in an Oklahoma twang adds to the comedy but does not help understanding it-the philosophy that is. Great soundtrack if you're into country rock.
