"A romantic comedy" it says above in the synopsis. Oh, is that what it was? I can see where they were going with it -- slapstick roaring 20s feel, 40s-style his-and-her witty repartee -- but it just doesn't hit the target nearly often enough.
And it's not a sports movie -- the football scenes are cringe-worthy.
