I like George Clooney movies where he is in total control over. This is one of those. A very slick throwback to the screwball comedies from the 30's ...well...that was the first third...then it turns into a romance.

..then it turns into just another sports film. Tell of a time when Football was not regulated and there were no rules during a fun time right before the Great depression. However it didn;t give me the wow of other clooney directed picks but can tell that he was trying to tap into the Cohen Brothers nuttiness.

..at least half of the time.
