Review of Leatherheads (2008) by Robert I — 10 Feb 2013
Movies are like food--keep the recipe simple, and use quality ingredients so that the palette can experience the strength and taste of each. Although this madcap, goofball comedy is stylishly filmed and is loaded with charm from its entire cast, it plays from an overly-complex recipe of themes.
Is it a romantic comedy? Is it a humorous football biopic? I wasn't entirely sure, and as a result, the quality ingredients that were present left much less of an impact than they were capable of.
