Review of Le Havre (2011) by Joel A — 07 Nov 2012
An exquisite beautiful humble little French production that folds out like a modern fairy tale.
It's such a low key deadpan film but has such strong characters that are great to watch. The whole refugee situation Is played out so simply and with the use of light comedy this fantastic film shows a lower class man struggle to make sure this young refugee isn't deported.
The look of this film is stunning it's shot Ike a 50's technicolor film and the way it's made is just so fresh & unique. A very important & relevant film and really enjoyable to watch.
