Review of L'Avventura (1960) by Wendy N — 14 Jul 2009
I must admit that when I finished watching this film I felt as if nothing had happened, but after reading Antonioni's comment about the film on the criterion website and watching part of the film with it's commentary I began to see the incredible depth he had created so subtly in the film.
Unfortunately I can see this film being completely lost on some, but I gained a new found respect for it by looking into its possibly meanings and suggestions. My rating is based upon how I felt watching the film and how my respect was greatly improved by educating myself of it's subtle themes.
