Review of L'Avventura (1960) by Gerasimos E — 17 May 2010
Antonioni's film centers around a woman who disappears and then is never seen again. But as with all of Antonioni's work, there's always more going on than the basic plot. I saw this film in college and it had such a strong impact, I was moved to write a paper on it.
Unfortunately, years later, with this repeat viewing, I found it somewhat pointless and tiresome. I guess I was a lot older then, I'm younger than that now. However, I did keep thinking that they might find the woman.
