Review of Last Life in the Universe (2003) by Jacqueline W. L — 16 Mar 2008
I love the beginning but not so much of the ending. Tadanobu Asano is no doubt a superb actor, I love his life as a weirdo and a librarian. As neat and tidy as it is, his life is intruded by a girl and her sister.
He starts to realize the relationship between two human beings and learn to lead a life leaning more toward to the "ordinary". Most important of all, he begins to feel. Almost everything in this movie is perfect, though there seems to me something lost and I don't know what it is.
Still a pleasure and such a relax especially when the girl has the fantasy.
