Review of Last Life in the Universe (2003) by Edward B — 31 Jul 2010
His masterpiece, without a doubt. The languid pacing, the restrained performance from Asano contrasted with the anguished melancholy of Boomyasak, all the parts of this film simply work sublimely to create a lofty meditation on loneliness, death, crime and perception.
Bloody excellent stuff.
