Review of Lalaloopsy: Festival of Sugary Sweets (2014) by Kevin R — 23 Jun 2015
Do you think wishes still come true when you wish on a birthday cabbage?
The Annual Sugar Sweets Festival is at risk because the area is out of sugar. The girls try to think of creative treats they can make without the ingredient. As you can imagine, their concoctions turn out to be a disaster. Can the girls save the day or will the festival go down in flames?
"What does the recipe say?".
"What recipe?".
Laura Gervais delivers Lalaloopsy: Festival of Sugary Sweets in her directorial debut. The storyline for this picture is nothing special and definitely felt like a made for television movie. The two dimensional animation is just okay (but the animals are well done). The voices fit the characters well.
"I celebrate my birthday every day, so I know a thing or two about birthday cakes.".
I added this to my queue when it was recently added to Netflix. I was actually a little disappointed by this picture. All of these films are mediocre like a worse my little ponies. My daughter relatively enjoys these. My thoughts are there are likely better options than this film series.
"Dirt and water.".
Grade: C-.
