Realistic? Get real. The kid is a spoiled brat attending a private school where she cheats on tests, steals a teacher's grade book and lies about it, jumps out of a moving car because she got in a fight with her mom, and buzzes around using people and trying to one of the cool kids yet joins the school musical.
The film was obviously made by someone thinking he/she knows all about teens, but falls pretty short of the mark. The overworked mom and unemployed dad re-finance their house so the brat can go to an east coast college where she drinks herself sick - real realistic.
She ties cans to the nun's car - like the nun wouldn't see cans and signs tied there before she got in?? Pathetically stupid plot elements that no one can believe. Don't waste your time.
