Review of La Strada (1954) by John E — 30 Jul 2007
The thing about La Strada that I think stands far and above other Fellini films is the simplicity and complexity this film takes as it progresses. The story is cut and dry, but the complexity comes as the character development makes you feel, care for these characters.
Fellini's most beautiful, most moving film in his catalog. It may not have the glamour La Dolce Vita has or the over the top madness that is 8 1/2, but sometimes it's the most simple of things that can be the most moving, too.
