This movie packs an emotional wallop which is surprising due to the simplicity of the plot. Fellini has certain tradmarks which can all be seen here in full force. His collaborations with Nino Rota has created some of the most iconic soundtracks and this is no different. his directing is not as flashy as some of his other films but that's probably for the best since it is italian neo-realism.

Giulette Masina has a face that could warm up your heart in a second. The first time I saw her,I thought of Charlie Chaplin. Her face is so expressive. She has such an innocence about her. I love how everything in the world to her is so wonderful. It's a serious contrast to Anthony Quinn's character. the cold and brutal,Zampano. I don't wanna reveal anything but the full circle of these characters is really beautiful and haunting all at the same time.
