Review of La Haine (1995) by Jessyca ¤ — 29 Aug 2008
A great sociopolitical film that many people don't know about. The monologue of the old man in the bathroom is brilliant, which offers a change in perspective in terms of how we view life and how we can live it.
Filming the movie in black and white is a very brave move, I thought, which may not suit most audiences as it lacks popularity. However, the color doesn't take away from the film-it adds the genius to it.
Very well done.
