Review of La Cage aux Folles (1978) by Russ C — 21 Jun 2008
My first introduction to this was of course, the Jerry Herman musical and the American remake, "The Birdcage," but this French version is by far the best. If you can find it dubbed into english, note that the two leads are dubbed by Dick Latessa (from the Broadway cast of "Hairspray") and Victor Garber ("Sweeney Todd," Titanic," "Alias").
Very funny, only dated enough to be slightly quaint.
