Review of Kiss Me Deadly (1955) by Arin D — 29 Nov 2008
Noir played by the formula book, but so effectively. Gaby Rodger's kooky, unnerving turn as a greedy, double-dealing criminal who dies so horribly for a movie from 1955 - quite a sight. The ending, with the lead blundering into the sea, with shrieking elemental forces behind them (I can't give it away what those are) - is an iconic moment in cinema.
Great cars too.
