Gritty, sexual and downright violent reworking of Mickey Spillane's novel. Ralph Meeker is perfect as the tough as nails, take no sh*t Mike Hammer. And one hell of an ending! (Quentin Tarantino pays homage to this in "Pulp Fiction").
