Review of Kidulthood (2006) by Gary B — 28 Jun 2010
Good debut for direction but a tired theme and storyline. Performances were ok but not always believable. I am a little bored of British cinema being either 'edgy' to the point of cringy or of the 'Love actually' ilk of which this film is the former.
I personally found it unconvincing and had to watch it in three instalments to get through it. Apparently 'Adulthood', its sequel is better...that won't be difficult!
