Review of Key Largo (1948) by Riyako H — 07 May 2010
The fourth and final film Bogart and Bacall made together. The gorgeous casting also includes Edward G.Robinson, Lionel Barrymore, and Claire Trevor (this role won her the 1948 Academy Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role).
Bogart in this film is perfectly reminiscent of his role in "Casablanca," a true idealist hero who never shows off his enourmous courage. Edward G.Robinson is also reminiscent of Rico, his very famous role in "Little Caesar.
" The most memorable quote from the film: "When your head says one thing and your whole life says another, your head always loses.".
