Review of Kagemusha (1980) by Tomas T — 31 Jan 2008
Kagemusha is A.Kurosawas master piece plain and simple. Asian epics are not really know to us western folks which is sad as this movie rivals and surpasses some of the Hollywoods spectacles.
The movie tells a tale of an era when Japan was full of warlords all fighting for dominance. One such warlord is the most cunning but dies away only to be replaced by a Kagemusha (shadow warrior) impersonator.
The movie plays well, some might think its boring, but I found to movie intense. Highly recomend this to anybody intrested in Asian movies and samurai era.
