Review of Justice League: War (2014) by Kevin R — 13 Jun 2014
Green Lantern kicks superman's ass! TMZ has the video.
The Justice League is still adjusting to the numerous super heroes being discovered around the planet and just meeting up to get to know and learn how each other operate. Unfortunately, they won't have much time to get to know each other, as an alien menace known as Darkseid has arrived to destroy the planet. Can our super heroes stop him or will their first mission be their last?
"Green Lantern can do anything!".
"Except shut-up, apparently.".
Jay Oliva, director of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns 1 & 2, Justice League Flash Point Paradox, Green Lantern: Emerald Knights, Doctor Strange, Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow, and episodes of Young Justice and Jackie Chan Adventures, delivers Justice League: War. The storyline for this picture is fun and unfolds well. I adored the dialogue but felt the character development could have been better. The animation was first rate and I enjoyed the voices selected.
"I am Darkseid!".
"I don't care!".
I love watching all of these movies and try to grab the blu-rays shortly after they come out. I love the aggressive content and mature direction they have taken these movies. Even the animation took a step up in this film. I did not enjoy the character development as much as I would have liked in this movie (they could have done more with Shazam and I didn't love the way Cyborg was depicted), but this is definitely a nice addition to your animated film collection!
"You dress like a whore!".
Grade: B.
