Review of Justice League: War (2014) by Pablo C — 23 May 2016
Exciting and action-packed, Justice League: War re-launches the DC animated universe in the new 52 continuity. The story follows Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Cyborg and Shazam as they come together and join forces to fight off an alien invasion lead by a tyrannical villain Darkseid.
Featuring Alan Tudyk, Jason O'Mara, Michelle Monaghan, and Sean Astin, the voice cast is pretty good. However, some of the characters are off-putting; particularly Green Lantern and Victor Stone/Cyborg.
Also, the animation is kind of stiff and the coloring is a little stark. Yet the action is fairly well-done, with several impressive fight sequences. Justice League: War has some weaknesses, but it's entertaining and presents an interesting vision.
