Review of Justice League: War (2014) by Jin T — 10 Jun 2016
This is another origin team up movie of a famous group in the DC Comics, the Justice League. However, to me it's not an official team up but rather teaming up on the spot against a common foe. Our favorite superheroes are against a formidable super villain, Darkseid.
While Superman is out and about, even Batman, we witness other heroes who are dealing with the crisis that's been going around. Which are these robotic creatures that are invading the planet. Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Shazam, and Cyborg are up to the task for that.
We see a lot of action and interaction with these heroes while Batman does his thing. He ends saving Superman from the other side of the portal, to Darkseid's fortress or whatever you call it. While I am not used to the attire that these superheroes are wearing in this movie, I understand they're the latest ones.
Wonder Woman's outfit is not so bad while Superman is what we used to already. Especially if you have watched Man of Steel. This movie is not so bad and it's so fast paced. If this was a live action film, I think I would have said that Batman v Superman is a little bit better but maybe because that I thought there wasn't enough development for each character but that's just me.
I mean we all know who these characters are and we're all familiar with them but there are still people trying to get in, trying to get to know these characters for the first time. Especially since comic book stories and characters are getting well known than ever before.
The action scenes are not bad for an animated movie and the art style is acceptable, at least for me. I am more familiar with the art style and action on the animated tv series of Justice League and even the story there was more thorough than this.
Although I enjoyed the movie, some flaws like the fight against Darkseid was a little bit exaggerated but it's okay. That's just me.
