Review of Jindabyne (2006) by Sean C — 11 Sep 2007
Ray Lawrence (Lantana) uses a short story by Raymond Carver (also utilized in Altmans' Short Cuts) almost as a MacGuffin to depict Australian society in all its geographical beauty but demographical complexity, but more importantly this is an all too real tale of human behaviour and emotions (reaction to death, grief, guilt) in itself, with bloody fantastic performances by all involved.
