Review of Jigsaw (2017) by Caleb L — 26 Oct 2017
"Jigsaw: A psychological thriller making up for a lackluster cast with brilliant story telling.".
The latest and possible swan song to the Saw franchise was an interesting film to say the least. The acting of the main cast - minus the brilliant Tobin Bell - was less than impressive. It was underacted in parts while being overacted in others. It wasn't the worst acting, but it was a little corny and seemed unrealistic. However, for what Jigsaw lacks in acting prowess it makes up for in a delicately crafted story brilliantly stitched together at the seam by twist after unexpected twist. If you are a fan of the rest of the Saw films, you will enjoy this one. If you aren't it may go unappreciated. It may not be a must-see in theatres, but it is definitely worth your $2 at Redbox in a few months.
