Deliberately paced but rather irresistible can-you-believe-this- doc, about a small town in Oklahoma that annually puts on a passion play, and the year their (blonde, 250+ pound) Jesus comes out as....
Buddhist. An intriguing look at small towns with nothing going on, traditions, faith, and the people who love you; the ending is genuinely surprising and sweet, upending a lot of "red state" stereotypes handily.
