Review of Jean de Florette (1986) by James P — 14 Nov 2007
Great first part of a two part, bucolic, French masterwork. Based on Marcel Pagnol's works from the 1930s. Gerard Depardieu is amazing as the hunchback from the city trying to make his way in the country. Followed by Manon of the Spring.
