Review of Jaws (1975) by Mathew D — 28 Aug 2015
Spielberg's breakthrough hit changed the way people viewed the summer movie season forever by taking a B-Movie body and filling it with A-Movie guts: rich characters, a great cast, and smart storytelling.
John Williams' score and Spielberg's shot choices make Jaws a timeless horror movie that's just as scary today as it was in 1975. But more than that, it continues to stand as one of the greatest movies of all time, and one of my favorites.
