Review of Jaws (1975) by Philipblake — 24 May 2019
Jaws was just a masterpiece in the horror genre as it was in the entertaining adventure genre. The visceral fear engendered from the shark sequences was almost universal and just created a whole generation of aquaphobics.
Not only that but it also created a new subgenre in the industry that was later called sharksploitation movies. Roy Scheider and Robert Shaw have a perfect chemistry and understanding of how to merge themselves deeply into characters.
This is in my opinion the ultimate horror adventure movie ever. This is really difficult to express my feeling about Jaws. Just watch it and get your own thoughts is probably the best thing to do.
