David Caruso is truly awful in this erotic thriller. With a performance like this, it's not hard to figure out why his film career was as short-lived as it was. It's not helped that he is served with a listless direction from William Friedkin, a script that feels like a first draft for Basic Instinct, and a cast that look bored out of their minds.
