Review of I've Loved You So Long (2008) by Georges D — 18 Aug 2009
Jamais je ne t'oublierai...
Kristin Scott Thomas is wonderful in this film, distant, cold, unreachable most of the time, except when "harmless" people like kids or depressive police officer talk to her, cause she knows she will not be judged on. Though the secret of the mute Juliette can be guessed before it is explicitly revealed, the directing remains excellent and we never lose interest in the unravelling of both a personal catastrophe and a family drama. Elsa Zylberstein is very good too.
