Review of It's Always Fair Weather (1955) by John M — 30 Jan 2008
Gene Kelly's big number toward the end of this picture is heart-stoppingly good, one of the best things he's ever done, and a testament to what was great about the singing and dancing genre we've lost.
Unfortunately, this is not one of Comden and Green's best scripts and Donen and Kelly don't do too terribly much in the surprising number of meandering, talky scenes.
