Review of Into the Wild (2007) by David S — 08 Jul 2012
The film is a great travelogue for America and Penn keeps the whole thing interesting by throwing in some weird and interesting characters along the way but I ended up getting annoyed with Hirsch's character and the choices he makes.
I'm sure it's trying to say some interesting things but the whole thing is so one sided that you feel the film is a little unfair on McCandless' family. Also the whole thing is a little too long and the inevitable ending is drawn out.
Filed under 'interesting' and 'worthy' but not totally entertaining.
