Review of Interiors (1978) by Matt G — 09 Jun 2009
We've all seen the Woody Allen movies with Woody and Diane Keaton backed by their ensemble of straight, stiff, dignified, boring background characters who don't appear to have any acting ability? What would we get if we removed Woody from the scene and focused on the boring characters? "Interiors!" The style is familiar and these stiff figures have been given depth.
While I enjoyed the writing, the characters and the story, I'm not sure I enjoyed them enough to recommend it. Give Woody points for doing something daring and different at the peak of his comedic career.
