Review of Inherit the Wind (1960) by Daniel H — 18 Nov 2007
A quick disclamer, this movie has no action so don't expect it. What carries the movie is the trial itself as two amazing actors battle to decide the course of American science and education. What keeps this movie from true greatness is the fact that while the main two actors are excellent, as well as E.
K Hornbek the reporter, the rest create a hideously odd background. Badly acted hysterics do nothing to improve it. On a whole though, this represents the first true victory over fundamentalism in the modern day and deserves to recognized as one of the greatest.
