Review of Incendies (2010) by David O — 27 May 2011
I couldn't help associating it with Murmur of the Heart (Le souffle au coeur) by Louis Malle. This film is extremely heavy while Malle's is lighter and far more bearable. They are common in making me feel that while one can be very uncomfy with what a mother has done and the ground of her sacrifice, mother's love transcends and is above morals.
What's happened can't be eradicated. All one can do with mother's love is, to accept.
